Senior Private Client Solicitor

Kettering Office


We are seeking a qualified solicitor, preferably with at least 5 years PQE with experience of the full range of Private Client disciplines, which include Wills, Trusts, Probate, Court of Protection, Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney, EPA’s, LPA’s and Administration of Estates.  Ideally you would be STEP qualified, although this is not essential, but you would need to be prepared to complete the training.

As a Senior Solicitor you will be expected to have expertise in the full range of Private Client matters and be able to contribute to the mentoring and technical advice required by our clients and other team members. Membership of associations and additional qualifications (such as ACTAPS, Solicitors for the Elderly, etc) would be advantageous.

This is a full-time, permanent post.

Conveyancing Secretary Corby Northamptonshire


Lamb & Holmes Solicitors are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary to join their busy Conveyancing team at their Corby office.

The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure in this busy department.  You will have a full understanding of the Conveyancing process and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within this field.  Ideally the candidate will have experience of case management systems in their previous role.

At interview candidates are asked questions relating to conveyancing transactions as part of the selection process.

This a full time position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.  Hours of work are 8.45am to 1.00pm – 1.45pm to 5.00pm.  We do not offer flexi or part time hours for this vacancy.

Apprentice for our Kettering office.

We are looking for a confident, personable apprentice to join the conveyancing team primarily in the Kettering branch. You will also provide administration support to the Corby office to cover colleague holidays and sickness.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent school or college leaver to start their career working for a well-established solicitors.

The key responsibilities will be:

  • transferring incoming calls to colleagues and taking messages
  • Producing documents
  • Inputting information onto the case management system
  • Dealing with incoming post and preparing outgoing post for despatch
  • Setting up meeting rooms for client visits
  • Filing and scanning documents
  • Supporting the case handlers with any general administration task

    The ideal candidate will have a good telephone manner, be IT literate and have a flexible approach to work. They will ideally be a car driver or due to take their driving test.
